Tina has worked for newspapers, commercial printers, retailers, and agencies as a designer, art director, production manager, and creative director. She also designs stationery and art prints that are currently available through Minted. Born and raised along the Gulf Coast, she has a love of fresh seafood and all things Mardi Gras. In her spare time, she loves to paint, explore MidCentury Modern architecture and design, Tiki Culture, and makes a mean Mai Tai.
Jason Frostholm

Jason has worked for commercial printers, agencies, retailers, and in the corporate world as a designer, art director, and creative director. In his spare time, he hosts the Feasting on Design podcast where he talks with other creatives about what makes them tick and the intersection of design, food, and beverages. He loves to cook, and uses cooking to relax and express his creativity in different ways. Jason also speaks at events about forging your path, fighting the comparison monster, and mental health among designers and creatives. He has spoken at Creative South, the University and College Design Association conference, and DesignXL.

Tina and Jason met in 2001 while working together at a large commercial printing company. Work led to friendship, and after a couple of moves and job changes, friendship led to love. Five years later we married and started working together on freelance projects in our evening and weekend hours—then came our twin boys, and Tina focused on freelancing full-time to spend more time with the boys. Meanwhile, Jason focused on his corporate design job, taking on side projects here and there. In 2014, something changed. We had the opportunity to attend the Creative South conference for the first time, and while listening to the speakers, we realized we needed to be working together again. So we combined our design skills and used them to complement each other and Ildis was born—Ildis being a portmanteau of the Danish words “ild” (fire) and “is” (ice) since Tina’s maiden name is Blackburn (fire) and Jason’s last name is Frostholm (ice).
